It is estimated that as many as 10 million children witness domestic violence each year

Child abuse is 15 times more likely to occur in households where adult domestic violence is also present

 

Contributors to child abuse is:

          1.Alcohol and/or drugs

          2.Unemployment

          3.Isolation

 

Burns in Child Abuse

          1.Friction…technically abrasions

          2.Dry burns…heated object

          3.Chemical burns

          4.Burns caused by a hot liquid (immersion or splash)

 

Accidental burns will likely have blurring of the waterline margin
